Story design is the way to pivot, plan & launch

storyFORMing is a visual thinking toolkit specifically designed to help people organise conversations and thoughts into cogent stories. The method galvanises you to create and tell new stories. It will help you and your team see the big picture, by exploring, re-imagining and documenting:

  • the user/consumer insights and new product concepts that are fundamental to your innovation or new product development (NPD) work
  • the principles and practices that define your culture change programme

Once you’ve learned to use the storyFORMing process, you’ll be a better storyteller with a clearer lens on change.

It is often said there are 3 levels of knowledge:
1. Where you think that everything is easy and simple.
2. When you recognise how complex a topic is and how little you know and/or struggle to convey it.
3. When you can make the complex simple and accessible.
storyFORMing is definitely operating from the third - and deepest - level.

Make belief

With better stories, it’s easier to win investment for breakthrough ideas.

Using storyFORMing, you stories won’t simply amplify the anecdotes: they will communicate the change your team is creating, by articulating the patterns of cause and effect. The approach helps you to make choices about the many ways you can tell the story of your new offer so that it is cogent and credible to different audiences.

Unite your team's focus

storyFORMing is a great tool, empowering a meaningful, contextual exploration and articulation of your organisation’s purpose and processes
— — SandPit Labs

StoryForming gets your team working towards a common goal; and while it focuses their thinking, it requires personal, unique responses, bringing fresh ideas to the table.
